I’ve had about a dozen people online and even at my office (had to sneak back to recharge the blackberry) ask with a laugh: "What, do they just let everyone speak?"
YES!! That’s the way public hearings work.
Crotty said they had 300 speakers. At 3 minutes apiece, that would be 9 hours. We’re now hearing it may actually be half that. Even if so, should be a looong night. And those seats, while padded, still managed to make my rear end fall asleep … or maybe that was some of the speakers.
